PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT
This classroom-based course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest.
This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. |
Audience: Healthcare professionals who are responsible for critical care on pediatric patients. Students will acquire rapid cardiopulmonary assessment skills, advanced airway management and fluid resuscitation. Students will acquire hands on knowledge for defibrillation, cardioversion and pacing techniques and competency with all scenarios. |
