Courses For The Non-Healthcare Provider

CPR ADULT CPR FOR THE NON-HEALTHCARE PROVIDER

Heartsaver CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Audience: General Public who wish to learn adult CPR and relief of choking, signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke and accessing the 911 system.

Child/Infant CPR CHILD/INFANT CPR FOR THE NON-HEALTHCARE PROVIDER

The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only® CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible.

Audience: General Public who wish to learn child and infant CPR, relief of choking, prevention of injuries, working with a child and infant safety checklist and accessing the 911 system.

First Aid/CPR HEARTSAVER FIRST AID FOR THE NON-HEALTHCARE PROVIDER

The Family & Friends First Aid for Children course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in a child for the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The program also covers child safety and preventing injuries. This course offers a fun, dynamic way for families, friends and communities to come together and learn first aid basics.

Audience: General Public who wish to learn general principals of medical emergencies, trauma emergencies, environmental emergencies in and out of the work place.

Courses For Healthcare Providers

AHA-SKILLS AHA SKILLS STATION FOR E-LEARNING (ACLS, PALS AND BCLS)

Audience: participants who have completed part one of the aha online e-learning program at www.onlinetrainingplace.com Client must provide print out of part one course completion certificate. After completing HeartCode Part 1, students must successfully complete a hands-on skills practice and testing session (parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Students will receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years, upon successful completion of all three parts.

BCLS BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT ORIGINAL

In this classroom-based course, healthcare professionals learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Audience: Healthcare professionals who wish to acquire original certification in BCLS, BVM, AED training.

BCLS-R BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT RENEWAL

The Basic Life Support (BLS) renewal for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed for the healthcare professionals who has previously been certified in BCLS.

Audience: Healthcare professionals who wish to renew in BCLS, BVM, AED training.

ACLS ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT ORIGINAL

In this classroom-based course, providers enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association ACLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card.

ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented

Audience: Healthcare professionals with prior critical care experience and a working knowledge of EKG’s. Student will have EKG review, pharmacology and algorithm didactic presentations and reviews. Students will acquire hands on knowledge for defibrillation, cardioversion and pacing techniques and competency with all 10 case core scenarios.

ACLS-R ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT RENEWAL

Audience: Healthcare professionals with a current ACLS certification card. Student will receive a didactic review of all protocols and review of pretest. Students will be required to demonstrate competency skills in Megacode Station and written exam.

PALS PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT ORIGINAL

This classroom-based course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest.

This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Audience: Healthcare professionals who are responsible for critical care on pediatric patients. Students will acquire rapid cardiopulmonary assessment skills, advanced airway management and fluid rescesitation. Students will acquire hands on knowledge for defibrillation, cardioversion and pacing techniques and competency with all scenarios.

PALS-R PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT RENEWAL

Audience: Healthcare professionals with a current PALS certification card. Student will receive a didactic review of all protocols and review of pretest. Students will be required to demonstrate competency skills in Megacode Station and written exam.

AHA-BCLS-I AHA BCLS INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM

Audience: Healthcare professionals with mastery level competency in all BCLS skills. Student candidate must have current BCLS card and receive a 90 or above on written exam.

AHA-HS-I AHA HEARTSAVER INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM

Audience: Non-Healthcare professionals with mastery level of adult, child and infant CPR, AED and First Aid. Student candidate must have current Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid card

AHA-ACLS-I AHA ACLS INSTRUCTOR PROGRAM

Audience: Healthcare professionals with mastery level competency in all ACLS skills. Student candidate must have current ACLS card and receive a 90 or above on written exam, EKG exam and pharmacology exam.
